These are part of our humbucker sized Stratocaster single coil range. A Strat single coil is encased between a humbucker baseplate and humbucker cover to allow them to be installed in any standard humbucker equipped guitar. There's a tiny bit of treble loss due to the additional metal content in the pickup, but they're otherwise constructed and tonally identical.
This is a set of high output humbucking Stratocaster pickups. The neck is wound to a moderate output to allow you to tap into vintage territory, but with enough beef to overdrive the front end of an amp when pushed and to not be drowned out by the bridge. The moderate output retains single coil like feel. They're like Strat singles on steroids.
The bridge is blisteringly hot - having nothing in common with a normal Stratocaster pickup. Wound to an eye watering 19k Ohms, this will howl when even a little overdrive or distortion is added. The tone of this powerhouse is distant from a single coil, and has it's feet firmly in the humbucker family. The advantage of having a single coil over a humbucker however is still apparent, any articulate runs down the fretboard will instantly reveal how much of a difference the smaller magnetic and sensory window of the strings makes. The bass will be sharper than a knife, and will have absolutely no problem at all cutting through a busy band mix.
These are slightly taller than the typical single coil - 23mm tall including the output lead (excluding baseplate legs). Check your guitar has space to accommodate this before purchasing.

It is recommended to switch your potentiometers to 500k for use with these, as they are humbuckers.
